With IC’s built-in tools, important information is placed front and center in the storyboard where it can be interacted with socially, send notifications (via tools like read & agree) and actioned differently than a regular email would. Another important benefit is the end of mass company-wide emails that, let’s face it, are usually more embarrassing than actually informative. With team-sites, you can put an important notice or communication in front of the users that make up that team, thus only giving important information to those for whom it’s most relevant. On our IC 14.5 Experience, Elevated release, we added a new way to help engage and communicate with employees. Storyboard is a contemporary piece of visualization that helps keep your entire organization up to date and allows deep linking with social services like YouTube and SoundCloud. Added are tracking of ‘new’ items and # of clicks on an item.
Also added is a new Toolbar, bringing common elements from the ‘my profile’ section to a more intuitive area at the top of the page. Admins also get the ability to edit their page from here rather than the multitude of pencil icons previously used. Additionally, the compact header helps to reclaim some of the vertical space that was previously used up by company news or storyboard.
