Attending the Patient Experience West National Forum (@PatientXForum) this week was an absolute pleasure for the Intranet Connections Team. We were blown away by the caliber of speakers, panelist and discussions at the conference.
We were fortunate enough to have our own talent join the ranks of the presenters this year, our Founder, Carolyn Douglas (@CarolynDouglas).
During Carolyn’s spotlight presentation, she shared the innovative approach Gold Coast Hospital, one of our favorite Intranet Connections’ clients, took to streamline training and credentialing on their Hospital Intranet. An inspiring story driven by a man with a passion for technology and problem solving, Dr. Leo Marneros – Director of Emergency Training in Gold Coast Hospital‘s Emergency Department.
As Carolyn unveiled the tools put in place by Dr. Marneros and his team from online credentialing packages with e-learning to online procedural checklists with the ability to access in real-time, you began to hear the whispers circulating the room –
In a room full of Healthcare Professionals, you don’t normally want to introduce a contagion, but the passion Leo Marneros and his staff showed with their intranet initiatives proved to be contagious through the delivery of our own inspirational leader, Carolyn Douglas.
Carolyn was overwhelmed by the response to her presentation with Healthcare Executives sharing ways these activities are performed day-to-day at their facilities with less efficiency. It seemed that everyone we spoke to could see a use case for our Healthcare Intranet in their environment.
We were also further given the opportunity to speak with the Patient Experience West Healthcare Participants at our on-site booth. Again, we were impressed by how quickly these Healthcare Executives could see specific use cases for our Healthcare Intranet in their organizations.
Conversations about online procedure checklists morphed into intern evaluation/assessment forms and credentialing packages into hospital-wide knowledge bases. While so many of our current healthcare clients inspire us to innovate with every new release of our Healthcare Intranet, this unique group of Healthcare Executives truly engaged us and gave us more ideas on how we can make our product even better to improve the patient experience.
We have come away from the Patient Experience West National Forum invigorated to help more hospitals, medical centers, end-of-life-care facilities and healthcare organizations deliver a better patient experience by aiding them with more staff training tools, staff communication tools and staff collaborations tools that yield significant time-cost saving benefits.
Thank you again to all the Patient Experience West participants that shared their ideas with us. We hope to hear intranet success story, like Gold Coast Hospital, in the very near future.
