One year ago, during an ordinary morning huddle, our huddlemaster asked three little words:
We are on the precipice of something great, and we can’t wait to tell you what it is. We are inspired by what we are working towards. We are inspired by our colleagues who make it happen. We are inspired by the endless creativity of our customers. When Intranet Connections was created in 1999, we wanted to be more than just another software. We built an intuitive platform that doesn’t require a degree in computer science to figure out. Since then, our product evolved, our team grew, and we have continued to overcome obstacles, find solutions, and celebrate success. Through all these changes we have maintained the conviction that with the right tools, people will accomplish remarkable things.
20 years later, we stand by the conviction and heed a relationship-focused business model. We love exploring our customer’s intranets almost as much as we love exploring the mountains we sit next to. There is so much personality weaved throughout the pages like the trails weaved throughout the trees. Each commencing with the same foundation, but unique in nature.
So when these three little words were asked, what inspires you?
Not one employee at Intranet Connections could say our brand inspires us.
For a long time now, we haven’t felt our brand was an authentic representation of who we are. Just because we’re a product of the 90s doesn’t mean we still need to wear mood rings and frost our tips. Considering the average age of our staff is 35, most of our employees were a sophomore the last time our logo changed.
That was the first sign we needed a transformation. It’s time to take of the earbuds out of our Discmans and catch up with the times.
At Intranet Connections, we’re a team of makers, thinkers, helpers, dog-lovers, parents, craft beer loving-outdoorsy and indoorsy types. We’re curious. We’re caring. We love a challenge, we love our coffee, and we really love our customers.
Founded in North Vancouver, the very spirit of the North Shore’s natural history is weaved into our DNA. When we’re not coding or assisting customers, you can find us trekking the trails of the North Shore, paddleboarding the Cove, or shredding the Old Buck bike route. We can see two ski hills from our office, and we can’t imagine it any other way.
None of this is represented in our brand. Until now.
We are thrilled to present to you our new brand identity:
We are evolving. Defining ourselves with the name ‘Intranet’ is too restrictive. That’s one reason why we have decided to shorten our name to IC. As for the other reason? Well, that’s a story for next quarter.
Our customers build thriving workplaces. It is our privilege to provide the tools used to achieve these remarkable places.
Our vision is to live in a world where everyone is capable of reaching their fullest potential. We contribute by removing some of the barriers that hinder productivity. That’s why we focus on tackling some of the toughest business challenges in today’s organizations: Internal Communication, Employee Engagement, Document Management, and Knowledge Management.
Simplicity, Positivity, Integrity, Creativity, Empathy, and the newest addition: Diversity.
We encourage inclusivity, diversity of thought and cultural background. We searched the world for the best employees and assembled a team from 12 different countries. Diversity came to us organically.
We find beauty in simplicity where we can; the little things that make a big impact. It’s about reducing barriers for employees and customers and empowering them to thrive in a more efficient and productive workplace.

Our brand culture is what makes us special. It’s not just written on the wall, it’s written on our sleeves, in our hearts, and even on our coffee mugs. It’s how we recognize our team, how we interact with customers, how we conduct our work.
